About

The Jesus Walk is a place for the young adults of St. Dominic Catholic Church to gather.  As we finish high school and move on to college and work, it seems a little bit harder to keep connected.  TJW is a social hang-out, a place where we share our lives, our fun, and what’s going on.

Although this blog is for everyone of all ages to enjoy and post comments on.  In order to be an author that initiates topics you must be a young adult (ages 18-39) of St. Dominic Catholic Church (Eagle Rock) or neighboring parishes.

Young Adults Defined
In the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, the young adult groups are intended for 18-39 year old adults.  We aspire to live our faith, give witness to Christ, and share the joy of God with all.

Archdiocese Focus

We, the young adult leaders with young adults, humbly accept the call of our baptism to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ.

We seek to gather young adults of all cultures to inspire them to know and appreciate their Catholic faith.

We pursue to nourish and strengthen young adults through the Sacraments and Church teachings so that they may dedicate themselves to God.

We seek to further the reign of God by encouraging young adults to become leaders in their faith communities, to deepen and share their faith with others and to build these communities based on love and compassion.

We do this in communion with the Holy Spirit, the Holy Father and our Archbishop, through the intercession of Our Lady Queen of Angels.

See the “Authors” page for details on how to become an author here at The Jesus Walk.

This blog was launched on the evening of Feb. 9, 2008, the first Sunday of Lent.
